SHE IS EMBODIED PSYCHOLOGY

Founder and Clinical Director of She is Embodied Psychology

Hi, I’m Ksenia.

I'm a Clinical Psychologist and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image. I help people stop obsessing over food and heal their relationship with their body. I help people feel good in their body so they can lead a fulfilling and happy life free from diets, yo-yo weight and obsessive exercise!

I'm queer and neuro spicy, so I’ll never judge you and you will find safety and acceptance here. I love working with neurodivergent and LGBTIQA+ folk, so if that’s you, you’ve come to the right place.

While I focus on eating disorders, my work covers so much more, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, which often show up alongside disordered eating. I’m really passionate about helping my clients develop emotional regulation skills so they can manage mental health issues on their own.

The thing is, no one’s born knowing how to cope with painful feelings, and sadly, most people don’t get taught these skills in school either. So, if you’re struggling, there’s nothing wrong with you, it’s just that you haven’t been shown how to handle it yet.

Whether you’re dealing with body image concerns, an eating disorder or other mental health struggles, I’m here to help you learn the tools you need.

If you think we’re a good match or are wondering if I can help you, please reach out!

You'll need a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or Psychiatrist. With this, you can receive $145.25 back from Medicare, making your out-of-pocket cost $104.75 on weekdays and $124.75 on weekends and after-hours.

You may also claim on your private health insurance; we provide receipts with item numbers for this purpose.

Alternatively, you can opt for therapy without a referral, in which case you'll need to cover the full cost yourself.

Yes, eligible clients may obtain an Eating Disorder Plan from their GP, allowing Medicare rebates for up to 40 sessions per calendar year with a psychologist and up to 20 sessions with a dietitian. We discuss this during sessions if it's relevant to your situation.

The number of sessions depends on your unique circumstances. You can stop therapy at any time, and you're always in control of the frequency and duration of treatment. We usually recommend starting with 6 weekly sessions, after which we'll review your goals and progress.
